Just as I was half way through my previous post, I had received an email that I thought I would never receive. It was an official invite from Dribbble to be a Dribbble player! I was drafted by polevaultweb after following him just a few days before on Dribbble. All I can say is that I am honoured to be part of one of the best Design Community out there, and I would like to thank Iain from Polevaultweb (visit their official site here, they’re good!) for drafting me in.

It was such an amazing feeling to be recognised by my fellow peers in the design industry as I have always thought that maybe I have not reached the level and standard that has been showcased by others in the design blogosphere. I would frequently browse Dribbble and other websites for inspiration on how to improve my overall design quality. Hopefully, by being drafted on Dribbble, I would continue to improve my design skills with the help of the other designers on the site which normally gives supportive & constructive criticism on how to improve a design.

I have a few designers on Dribbble who I think are way up there in the web design industry. Designers such as Jonno Riekwel, Veerle Pieters, Janna Hagan & Jesse Dodds has consistently never failed to amaze me with their quality of work, each with their very own unique style & execution.

I have also noticed quite a number of Malaysia designers on Dribbble, and am glad that I am now one of them. Maybe we could start up our own Dribbble meetups in Kuala Lumpur? My first shot on Dribbble was the ElephantKat Studios Logo that I had previously designed and written about in my previous post. I thought it would be a great first shot & would like to know other designer’s opinion on the design to gauge my level within the design world. As of this moment there’s 108 view, 6 comments (including 2 of mine) & 13 likes! It also made it into the Popular shots (page 9 ).

Hopefully this would be a start to an exciting life in the future. Everything is moving steadily in the right direction, and I would like to Thank Allah for all his blessings. This events that has happened in a short space of time has definitely spurred me on the keep on designing, writing and contributing. I will definitely try to post some articles on design inspiration and maybe some tutorials (if possible). Feel free to follow me on Dribbble!
